Facebook New Features for Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is approaching very fast, and the stats show that an increasing number of people are turning to social media such as Facebook and Instagram to express their love and gratitude and wish their Moms well. According to Facebook stats, conversations about Mother’s Day drove more posts in one day than any other topic on Facebook in 2017, that is more than 65 million Mother’s Day related posts in the United States alone.
In the light of these numbers, and the growing array of features and options to express your thoughts, Facebook has announced a range of features for users to share their Mother’s Day best wishes through frames, cards and visual elements.
On Facebook, users will soon see a notification at the top of their feeds highlighting the various ways they can pay tribute to their Moms on the social platform.
You can choose between cards, photo frames, or post a message using Camera or text post features.
On Messenger, Facebook’s added a new set of themed frames and stickers to mark the unique event.
Of course, Facebook is also adding specific features to Messenger Kids, with frames and stickers for younger users to add.
Mother’s Day is a important event for all of us and huge event for social media communications, and it’s worth considering the trend stats in your marketing outreach or strategy.
If you haven’t got your Mom something yet, probably best to scroll through her Instagram or Pinterest feed and see if there’s anything she might have her eye on that you can get.
